About Djamee Models

This all started...

In 2001, forced to close my made to order shop within Tattoo Seen, on West 4th, after the 911 tragedy; I put my focus on launching the modeling career of my friend Rome. You can say that my management company started by accident; yet I put my heart and my love in reaching goals of excellence in the model & artists management modeling industry as much as I do for my designs & my photography.

As a fashion designer I learned early that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I also realized that some models will touch you more than others. Some will get more calls than others. The most beautiful models are not the ones who necessarily book the most.

The attitude models approach the modeling world with will make a difference between a model who work and one who doesn't. When I see working models I know that they are disciplined; on time and friendly. They also appear humble and down to earth.

Writing a note or calling to thank a photographer, will go a long way for future job opportunities and further building your reputation and value. Always give your agent/manager contact. Do not try to short cut for a job.

A good job never requires a short cut. You can lose a lot of money doing so. Your representation management and reputation are always on the line so let your agent/manager negotiate and represent you.

A good manager will get you more than what a free lance model get in terms of money and convenience for the same job. I also have noticed that most models who book major jobs listened and implemented those methods the same goes for talent or artists.

I am not always right; still I learned and master my craft. I am worth my 20%.

Women models have a limited time to grasp the moment and make their mark in the Industry; yet you'll see thousand of girls at conventions desperate to become models.

Guys can have a second life or chance to shine when they turn 50 and gray. Rightly or not in today's society the commercial value of a man goes up with time. Male print models still get work well over that age.

I am fortunate to have young models taking on such challenge and willing to learn. I embrace the opportunity to be part of greatness ...

The experience is well worth it because of the obvious chance of sudden wealth glamour and prestige traveling and networking. So smile because you can hear no, no, for months and then just hear yes for years...

Make sure you are there to hear yes. Too many people abandon on their way. They give up on themselves and their dream. Take my word for it; they will say yes I guarantee it. Just ask my models they KNOW or simply ask me.

Rome is featured in all these videos and more. Rome plays Avril Lavigne, boyfriend best friend ; in the video My Happy Ending.
