You taught me well. Saving is the best way to add money to your bank account.
Money in the bank equals freedom. When you are loved you are the most powerful person in the world; so start loving
and empower others so they can be free to be the best they can be.

A few days after Mother's day celebrated in the USA, I was riding the train in the morning. and I was brought back to reality from my usual day dreaming; by a young woman.
She was in her mid twenties, sporting a short Afro; no make up and wearing some khakis trousers. Then she positioned herself right in front of me. She was speaking in a firm and determined voice.
Young Woman: "I would like to sing a song for you; there are two versions of that song. One by the Fugees.,and one by Roberta Flack. Today I will sing for you the Fugges' version; but before i do, here's a little bit about myself. I'm not, homeless; I used to be. but I rather do this than selling my body."
Then she started singing. Someone stood up and gave her a dollar before exiting the train car. She kept on singing, touching all the right notes. I reached out to my bag. I only had a five dollars bill. I folded it; and I gave it to her.
I could feel her voice tremble a bit; as she was finishing her rendition of the new version by the Fugees of the 1973 Number 1 song. More people were approaching her and gave her money. She seemed overcome by emotions. Then she was finished. I clapped and others joined in a great ovation.
She went around the car to see if anyone else was donating. She thanked everyone and as she walk passed me, she looked at me and said.
" Thank you baby."
Songs have a different meanings for each and everyone of us. Killing Me Softly, is this classic from the 70's that lives on to this days. My connection with the song is that when me and my siblings were growing up she always used to play it. I do not have a lot of memories of when I was a little kid; but i remember dancing around or just listening to my mother sing along to this song,
That day I felt as if my mother had transcended the young woman on the train just to touch me another time and suggest me to play the song for her.
On this mother day in South America; Europe and Africa; I join my siblings in remembering you and celebrating you again. Mom. What would be life without good music. what would be life without memories of a loving mother. If your mother is here and you have not talked to her or seen her. Do not take her for granted. Tell her again that you love her. Truly no matter who she is, all she wants is for you to be OK. So today is her day. Do not wait for her not to longer be a part of the living to celebrate her. Maman I love you always. - Djamee Raphael

Mom! Happy birthday on this September 3rd. I remember when you used to drive me around in you 4x4 Toyota Tercel. We had put posters of my upcoming fashion show in Libreville on each sides and the back of your car. We were stopping everywhere to drop off flyers. You took me to the TV station and I was interviewed during the news you did all the daily run to the tailors and drove me to all my uncles and aunts in town to secure donations. Lol. I was only 19 .
The show happened it was a packed house it was beautiful I had traveled from aris and with your marketing skills I pulled that off. I did not pursue fashion design for clothes but when I started my accessories line all I could think was about the trust you had in me. The kind of trust that makes others believe in themselves the same kind of knowingness I can now teach to my models and talent. Thank you mom happy birthday and God bless you always.
Mother I appreciate you more than you can imagine. I would not be here if it was not for you. I don't know the pain I gave you for nine months; but I have seen the joy in your eyes when you see me. You always looked after me. You groomed me physically and mentally. You cooked and baked the best dish only a certified "Cordon Bleu" like you could. Now that I am walking on my own around the world I know why I am so proud. You always believed in me even before I knew I could do something out of myself.
