When you want to start a model the right way, do not try to get beautiful pictures from an unknown amateur photographer. You may think that being seen on the photographer's portfolio will help you, when it only helps the photographer get future paying gigs.
However, the model may be passed on by Casting Directors, when they are looking for brand new fresh faces never seen before on the social media for a campaign or Print Commercial.
The model value in fact goes down. Unless you are able to manage to grow influence and followers on Instagram twitter and Facebook, get paid gigs on social media by actual brands.
These models will alway be solicited by photographers for their obvious good looks and potential, but they will never start to earn real money if they fall for the trap and promise of instant glory.
If the model is freelance, this advice applies to them too.
You want to hold off on photoshoots altogether until you can negotiate a test shoot with a top rated photographer or when the standard digital model snapshots / polaroid that can be taken on any good smartphone; get them an actual paying high profile gig.
To negotiate a future job all you have to do is reference the photographer, the model shoot with; or the brand they booked a paying gig for with the snapshots.
