Let Me Re Introduce Myself
Hi my name is Djamee Raphael, a lot of you may not know what I have done in the past, Including the fact that I have worked with artists in NYC, since 2006. The reason I don't throw this in your face is because I believe anyone is only as good as his or her last job.
I don't have a job. I have built what you see with the help of many of you. People who believed like me in the unseen. The ones who believed the most in their abilities; reached their own potential. Some are stars that you know very well like Kid Cudi; Shaun Ross. Others that you start noticing like Leo Luganskiy; Y MIllz …
Let me reintroduce my self. I am the founder of Djamee Models I got Rome, my first model's booking from a pay phone. This was for a music video for Erykah Badu, for the Movie Soundtrack "Love of Hip Hop / Love of My Life." At the time I was living in Richmond Hill, Queens.
Trough the years, a lot of people have doubted in me and what i had to offer. Sometimes I have doubted in myself too, but I never gave up on myself; my dream and the people who shared my vision. There have been more people supporting than people hating. One of the first to believe in me beside my parents and my sister Ely; is my good friend Claude Grunitzky, Chairman of Trace magazine and founder of True Advertising Agency TRUE212.
In in late 2003 early 2004 Stanley Kaplan, of Stanley Kaplan Talent, brought me in to his agency from a Cyber Cafe on the East village where I had been operating; to open a modeling division while building Djamee Management. This single act helped establish me and the models I represented.
Since, I have opened many doors for models from all backgrounds skin colors or sexuality; and I intend on continuing to do so as long as i am in a position to do so.
This is not because I don't brag about my past achievements that I don't have any.
The fact is that music always have been my first love; fashion modeling comes a close second; second nonetheless. Music and breaking barriers in this industry is my focus.
At this time of my life I am committed to the artists I represent and I am everyday looking forward to reach together more goals and open new doors for them. Thats what I love to do; thats what I am and will continue doing. Yes since 2012, modeling has taken a back seat actually "Runway modeling" has. In fact my talent division in 2015, is well and "live."
Just yesterday I had an order for 20 to 40 talent to send to a Jennifer Lopez "Secret" music video shoot.
You will hear about Caos Horris; Mighty Da Don; Lucid L; Y Millz, being in movies; at a tour near you; on TV; in ad campaigns and working with other recognized artists on new music and videos.
I invite anyone interested in working together to reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org and get the ball rolling. I always am looking for studio with good quality and mastering equipment. I am on the look out for innovative beat makers and producers. Of course photographers. music video directors; booking agents for shows In the New York area and the rest of the state. Booking agents in Europe; road managers; stylists; online music promoters; radio DJ's , Club Dj's and anyone who can bring something on the table will greatly benefit from networking with us.
