GRINDING NYC. Americk Lewis threw his 1st event last night at a top a notch studio in Times Square. This was also his birthday. I arrived 1 hour before the event closed. I could tell it has been a success. The vibe was great, revelers were standing most looking in direction of the stage; some drinking most talking to someone. Scantily dressed bartenders were offering bud Lights in the late hours before another round of Vodka was available. Jennifer is a great singer she wanted us to have updated photos together so she grabbed me. Jennifer, and I met at a previous GRINDING NYC edition. This was Young Rahda first stop at GRINDING NYC and as passionate as he his of his craft he opened the freestyle segment with a band live. Hardcore lyrics and flow by the young emcee got the crowd pumped for more. I gave one of my Blue and yellow StuddedSpikes to a girl in the audience who deserved it. See the photo bellow .
Can't wait for the next jam. I love music I love GRINDING NYC all photos from my Incognito phone :) DR
Happy birthday Mari, tu sais comment celebrer/you know how to celebrate. Mari threw her bash at Juliet 539 west 21 St Street. It was an incredible night. Mari, was gracious and treated us to a private dinner and if this was not enough a birthay threat; she entertained us to unlimited bottle service of top shelve champagne and vodka. Mari, is an humanitarian co founder of Southern Sudan Initiatives, Inc, a charity focused on improving and saving lives. Working model and actress in the making at Djamee Models NYC. She was the only female model in our NYC recent StuddedSpikes, runway show April 11 2010 at BKFW FW 2010 collections. See her in the HD video of that show above; courtesy of REVENGE MAGAZINE. Remember to visit our E shop to buy the latest StuddedSpikes accessories.
Madonna, at 51 continues to allure me. Madonna, seen bellow in a video of the shots strikes strong poses for the May issue of Interview magazine. The pictorials are by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. You can read the complete interview by Gus Van Sant here. The images are superb and instant classic if not an unbelievable flashback to her early glorious days. Madge, shows why she is considered a fashion icon besides being the inquestionable Queen of Pop.
Last Saturday on May 1st, GrindingNYC.com, hosted their first in a serie of hot networking parties at NYC Loft Recording Studios. I enjoyed DG and Javon, live showcase. Manager Yusef, had us listening exclusive tracks from Rove an upcoming artist based in Boston who had traveled for the occasion... Americk Lewis, the originator of www.grinding.NYC.com is shoping a TV show to the major networks; chronicling a group of talented people "grinding," to make it in the industry.
