Born in the rivers State of Nigeria, May 1st, 1989, fighter and boxer Helen Joseph believes she was destined to fight. A former IBF and GBU champion and present WBF Champion, the iron lady is nothing to mess with. Her current record stands as of July 2020 at 23 fights with 17 wins, 4 controversial loses, and 2 draws. Despite her lack of accolades and championship belts, her work ethics outshines her opponents tremendously.
For her hard work, fighter Helen Joseph has been recognized as the best fighter of the year 2012, and the best fighter of the year 2015, and also the best knockout artist of the year 2017. She accredits her ability to crush obstacles the size of mountains, like pebbles today first to her God and her early experience as a child! At an age before she was even able to remember, the iron lady lost both her parents. Despite these tragic event, she did not allow this to discourage her from fighting to be the best person she can be and maintaining her close relationship with God.
Just think there was a great chance the world almost missed out on the opportunity to witness one of the greatest female boxers of all time in the ring. Considering the fact, she dreamed of becoming a doctor, a Kung-Fu fighter or kick boxing champion and never once thought about boxing. After years of success in the ring during her early years as a kick boxer, her team and coaches at the time noticed her unique yet proficient foot work in the ring and recommend she try boxing, just to see how well she does. She then spent a few months researching the sport and watching other fighters before making her decision in becoming a boxer. Fast forward 2 years into her making a decision to making boxing her first passion, Helen Joseph (the Iron lady) has beaten up all her opponents and challengers. Her hard work and dedication to the sport has quickly gained her recognition of boxing organizations locally in Ghana and Nigeria, and internationally around the world.
As it currently stands, Helen Joseph is being managed by Devonne Candy whom herself is a US Olympic Boxing Gold medal winner of 2000.
